Weird Grip on the Pen/Pencil

It's kind of like a chopstick grip but with one chopstick. My finger over my thumb and the rest of the fingers tucked away, stabilizing the writing instrument behind the index and thumb. It sort of astonishes me that I am even able to write like this. When I write with my right hand it is more traditional of a tip-of-the-pen grip between fingers and thumb.
I'm not just doing extreme navel gazing here, I'm thumb gazing really.
Also, some random post-it doodles I did who knows when.
